A surprising transformational makeover!
This shoot was completely spontaneous & was offered up to J.STILES who was open to trying on this opportunity! Little did we all know she had that, "IT FACTOR" it takes to be in front of the camera. J.STILES has a gender bender quality that can go from girl pretending to be a boy pretending to be a girl. This seems to be a current trend in fashion & the arts. We knew some magic was happening as the make up went on!

Margaret Donovan is known by a close circle of the DJ ARTBOX family. She is the mother to Megan who passed away November 3 2010. Margaret; known to most as Peggy has had an extraordinary life. She was an advocate for animals, the original fag hag, and retired by 40 years old. Peggy was born and raised in New York City and spent her 30’s in a beautiful brownstone on Central Park West. She had an admiration for the arts and hung out on 3rd Ave in the East Village at the local pubs with her artist clan. Her best friend William was an amazing artist; he was her #1 gay. When Peggy gave birth to Megan she moved into a beautiful Victorian Home in Staten Island, New York. The home had original maid’s quarters which are “behind the scenes” staircases for maids so they wouldn’t interrupt the family. William’s art and many others were displayed throughout the 1920’s Victorian home. Peggy always had a German Shepard alongside her and ironically had a toy poodle too.

Here are some pictures from Peggy’s summer stays in Provincetown from the late 60’s and early 70’s.

David of DJ ARTBOX recently had the opportunity to give back to someone who has influenced and inspired so much of his ART, that would be the singer SADE. "I have only painted to her music, her voice…she takes me to a deep creative place that allows me to put the emotions I desire into my paintings. I am thrilled that this painting “MAGIC FOREST” goes to my muse." -David Reposar of DJ ARTBOX

We love the invention of Ziggy Stardust, a persona and alter ego by David Bowie, 1970’s (anima + animas) expressed through and through.
A gender*ration of sensual spandex and lycra, exaggerated shoulder pads, plethora of shiny prints and generous glitter.
“The thin white Duke” rocked it out !
